Even if you do not have all the information to prove the variation at this time, add the potential variation to the list in the template. This way you are constantly adding to the projected final account figure. This makes you much more likely to receive the projected final account figure than if you do all the variations at the end of the project. And thus surprising the client. Surprising a clients QS with costs he has not accounted for does not go down well.
